Greece and Santorini destination wedding editing for photographers

Outsourced culling, grading and film editing for photographers shooting weddings in Santorini and the Greek islands. White walls, hard sun, drone, euro prices.

A Greek island wedding gives you some of the most recognisable backdrops in Europe: white walls, blue doors and shutters, the caldera at sunset. It also gives you noon ceremonies in full sun, wind, squinting guests and a sea that each camera records in a slightly different blue. Then the couple flies home and wants to share something.

This page is for photographers and filmmakers who shoot weddings in Santorini, Mykonos, Crete, Corfu and the rest of Greece, whether you live there or fly in for the season.

Who this is for

  • Photographers based in Greece shooting for English-speaking couples, who want the cull and the grade off their desk in summer.
  • Destination photographers from elsewhere in Europe who fly in for island weddings and come home to a backlog.
  • Filmmakers and hybrid studios with drone footage and stills from the same day.

Greece is one of the destinations English-speaking couples ask about most. Bridebook’s UK Wedding Report 2026 found that among UK couples who considered a European wedding abroad, Greece was considered by 20%, second only to Italy at 21% (reported by Travel Radar).

We edit remotely. We have no office in Greece and never contact your couples.

White, blue and sun

The three things that make island weddings look the way they do are also the three that cause most trouble in the edit.

What The problem What we do
White walls and stone Clip in noon sun, take on colour from the sea and sky Highlights held first, whites kept clean and even
Blue sea, sky and painted doors Camera records aqua and cyan; saturation runs away Aqua pulled towards blue, sky and sea balanced separately
Hard sun on people Squinting, shadows under eyes, shiny skin Local lifts on faces, skin clean-up on close portraits

Rangefinder’s guide to shooting in harsh midday sun recommends backlighting the couple and looking for open shade. If you worked that way, the edit is about lifting faces out of the backlight and keeping the glow soft. Our post on editing Santorini and Amalfi in hard sun goes through it step by step.

Sunset portraits

Many island weddings put the ceremony in the middle of the day and the portraits at sunset, so the two most important scenes need opposite corrections. The Wed’s golden hour guide puts the window at roughly 30 to 45 minutes, with white balance moving from yellow to orange to blue.

We grade the ceremony as the anchor, then let the sunset be warmer while keeping skin close to the ceremony skin. The sky can change. The couple’s faces should not look like they belong to a different wedding.

Island weddings are also often weekends rather than single days: a welcome drink by the pool, the ceremony on a terrace, a beach or rooftop party after dark. On those sets we work in a fixed order:

  1. Match your style on test frames from each scene first.
  2. Grade the ceremony, because it carries the most important frames.
  3. Bring the other scenes into line by matching skin, then whites, then backgrounds.
  4. Check the whole set in grid view so jumps between scenes are visible before delivery.

Wind is the other island constant. Veils, hair and dresses blowing across faces are part of the story, and we keep them unless your brief says otherwise. What we do clean up on close portraits is the small stuff: stray hairs on the face, shine on foreheads in the heat, a mark on a white dress. Heavier work, such as removing people from backgrounds across many frames, is quoted separately, so mark those frames in the brief.

A whole island weekend is charged at the same package price as a single day, and the Wedding gallery covers up to 3,000 raws across all the days together. List the days and scenes in the brief so nothing is missed.

Drone

Clifftop and caldera venues nearly always come with drone footage. In a film the aerials often open the story, so they need to match the ground footage, especially the colour of the sea.

  • The Highlight film (€90) is 5 to 8 minutes, from one to three cameras with drone included, delivered from 480p to 4K, cut to the music you choose, with the project file and two revisions.
  • The Drone-only edit add-on (€25) is a short aerial film from the drone footage on its own.
  • Social reels (€35) are three 9:16 cuts for Instagram and TikTok, often what couples share first.

Our clifftop beach wedding film shows how backlit sunset portraits and coastline drone shots were graded in a real project.

Rush, and the time difference

Destination couples usually want something to share soon after they land. Your options:

  1. Standard delivery: seven business days from when your link works and the brief is complete. Weekends and public holidays in your country are not counted.
  2. Rush: 72 hours, +50% on the whole order.
  3. Your own sneak peek: edit a handful of frames yourself while the full set is with us.

Our editing team is in Pakistan, on UTC+5 all year. That is two hours ahead of Greece in summer and three in winter, one of the smallest gaps anywhere in Europe. It does not change the delivery date; business days are counted from your link.

How we handle your couples’ images

Before you send anyone your couples’ photos, it is reasonable to ask where they go. In short, from our data processing terms:

  • You are the controller and we are your processor, working only on your instructions.
  • Only the people on your project open its files, and the team is bound to confidentiality.
  • Our editing team works from Pakistan, so the files are accessed there.
  • Our subprocessors are named on that page.
  • Working copies are deleted once the project and its revisions are finished, unless you ask us to keep them.
  • A signed data processing agreement is available on request.

Our confidentiality page covers the white-label side: your name on the work, never ours.

Questions photographers ask

More in the FAQ.

Can you edit Santorini wedding photos with blown-out white walls?

We hold highlights on whitewash, dresses and stone first, then set exposure for skin. Where a wall is clipped completely, we keep it clean and even so it reads as bright white rather than grey.

Do you edit drone footage from Greek island weddings?

Yes. Drone footage is included in our Highlight film (€90), and the Drone-only edit add-on (€25) gives you a short aerial film from the drone clips.

Can I get a Greek wedding edited quickly for couples who fly home?

Standard delivery is seven business days from when your link works and the brief is complete. Rush is 72 hours for +50% on the whole order.

What time difference is there between Greece and your team?

Our team is in Pakistan on UTC+5 all year, two hours ahead of Greece in summer and three in winter. Delivery is counted in business days from your link, so the gap does not change the date.
