Data processing terms for wedding photographers
The images and films you send show your couples and their guests. We handle them only on your instructions, only to edit and deliver your project.

Roles
For the images and footage of your clients that you send us, your studio decides why and how they are used, and BackstagePost handles them on your behalf. In data protection terms, you are the controller and we are your processor. These terms form part of our terms of service. Data about your studio itself is covered by our privacy policy.
What we process and why
- What: photographs, video and audio of your couples, their families and guests, plus any names or notes you include in a brief.
- Why: only to edit the project, deliver it to you and make the revisions you ask for.
- How long: for the length of the project and its revisions, as set out below.
We do not use your clients' images for anything else: not for our portfolio or marketing without your written permission, and not to contact your clients.
Our team
Only the people working on your project can open its files. Everyone on our team is bound to keep your projects confidential. Our editing team works from Pakistan, so the files are accessed there.
Subprocessors
To run the service we use these providers:
- Supabase: project records and briefs, hosted in the AWS us-east-1 region (North Virginia, USA).
- Cloudflare: file storage and delivery.
- Hostinger: website hosting.
- Email and messaging providers: services such as Resend and Telegram that we use for project and team notifications.
- Your own storage: the Dropbox, Google Drive, WeTransfer, pCloud or Box links you give us. Your raws stay there under your account and your provider's terms.
If we add or replace a provider that handles your clients' images, we will update this list. You can email us to be told of changes first.
Deleting working copies
We download your files to edit them. We delete our working copies once the project and its revisions are finished, unless you ask us to keep them. The delivered files and project files are yours to keep.
Requests from your couples
If one of your clients asks you to see, correct or delete images of them, we will help you answer. If a request reaches us directly, we pass it to you and do not reply to your client ourselves.
If something goes wrong
If we become aware that your clients' images or data have been lost, exposed or accessed by someone who should not have them, we will tell you without undue delay, with what we know and what we are doing about it, so you can meet your own duties.
Your part
You confirm that you have the right to send us the images and footage and the permission you need from the people in them for us to edit them on your behalf.
A signed copy
If your studio needs a signed data processing agreement, email hello@backstagepost.com and we will send one.
